Imagine waking up at 6am every day, full of energy and motivation.

Jumping out of bed and getting straight out for a walk or doing some gentle yoga to ease you into the day.

Being ready for the day before anyone else in your house is up, so that when they wake up, you’re able to enjoy a calm breakfast together as a family.

Getting straight into work after the school run and being your most productive self, making difficult decisions with ease and not getting stressed or overwhelmed even when facing challenges.

Finishing your day calmly reading a book before bed before settling into a long, deep, refreshing sleep, knowing that you’ll be waking up feeling energised and looking forward to another day.

In the past, I’d have read that and thought it sounded incredibly boring and that I wanted more from life.

But now that this is my reality, I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Sobriety has given me this gift and helped me appreciate my life and all the simple beautiful moments that alcohol was distracting me from before.
