So often when we are asked to introduce ourselves we start with our work, followed by our children and maybe our partners.
And then stop.
Yes, work and parenting are pretty time consuming and defining.
But who are you, beyond those responsibilities?
What are your dreams, your passions, your hobbies? What makes you, you?
Many people get stuck here. Life is all work and no play.
Or they do have an answer, a great passion… but they don’t have time for it any more.
They miss it, but there’s just so much else to do that’s more important.
What could be more important than following your passions?
Doing the things that bring you to life shows your children that they should too. It’s excellent role modelling.
And looking after your wellbeing will make you a better parent, partner, employee and friend too.
Who do you want to be? What do you need to do more of and/or less of to become them?
