🐯Dance manically round the kitchen while the kettle boils
🦄Pretend to be a rockstar when you’re driving or in the shower
🦓Flash your partner when they’re on an important phone call (another benefit of working from home)
🐬Have a tickle fight with your kids
🐲Run as fast as you can, not to get fit, but because you want to feel the wind in your hair
🦔Make a pile of the last of the autumn leaves and jump into them
🐞Belly laugh over a bottle of wine with friends
🦚Have the kind of sex that’s definitely not about making a baby (with yourself counts too)
The common theme of almost all my coaching so far has been that people want more fun, joy, play, and creativity. They miss it and don’t know how to get it back.
I anticipated that this would be an unexpected outcome. That once we’d worked on their burnout, grief, stress and whatever else, they’d be pleasantly surprised that they were having more fun. Instead it comes up early on, usually in our first session. Once they find it, they feel happier, more relaxed, and more productive.
